O God, thou hast taught me from my youth:and
hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Psa 71:17
First Christian Academy is dedicated to assisting parents with the challenging responsibility of helping their students become responsible, Godly young people. Our primary educational curriculum, Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E), is designed with a foundation of Biblical principles, wisdom, and character development. A.C.E. is a college-preparatory program which provides leadership development through many aspects including occasions to compete at the annual Regional Conventions and Internationl Student Convention.
A.C.E. - Meeting Today's Educational Needs with Yesterday's Traditional Values and Tomorrow's Technology of Individualized Learning.
Reaching children around the world, A.C.E. provides a quality education designed to best meet a student's maturity level. During adolescence, a child's thinking begins to move from concrete into more abstract understandings. Here A.C.E. curriculum expands from the knowledge dimension into the understanding dimension. Questions include factual information but also allow the child to ask why and how. Older students are equipped and challenged to think well, act responsibly, and live wisely.
Attendance
Our school calendar operates on four nine-week sessions. Our Secondary Department (4th-12th Grade) operates on a four day per week school, Mon-Thurs schedule. Friday is reserved for make-up and individualized tutoring. Teachers have the discretion to require a student's attendance based on academic need and/or attendance.
FCA is required by law to follow the State Mandated Attendance Policy. According to this policy, all non-excused tardies count as absences. Only tardies acknowledged by the school will be excused. Students from Kindergarten - High School by law must be retained for excessive absences/tardies.
